Delilah McKuck

This is a made up story about a stranger I saw at Starbucks. It's totally fiction, and just a story about what her past might have been. :) Everything, even her name, is what my mind came up with.

Delilah McKuck.

Her hair is as black as night and very straight. She had a troubled childhood. When she was only seven, her parents got a divorce. Ever since, she lives with her father. Delilah was a daddy's girl and loved being with her father. She was such a tomboy, and didn't like girlie things. When Delilah turned 13, her father remarried. It was hard on her, and in no time, delilah wasn't too fond of Marianne. When Delilah was in 10th grade, the tomboy stage started to wear off. She stared to want to look pretty, have a boyfriend, and be more like a girl. The influence of her friends was huge, and pretty soon she was set in life. She also was now one of the most popular girls in school, and everyone wanted to be her friend.

As Delilah finished highschool, her father divorced Marianne. Marianne had become a friend to Delilah during her teen years. She had helped so much. When Marianne left, Delilah demanded to go live with her. So she did. Marianne was able to put Delilah through college, and Delilah was very grateful. When Delilah turned 20, she moved in with her boyfriend Jerry. They had been seeing each other for over 6 months and soon were to be married.

After a few months of living with Jerry, and seeing his true character, Delilah decided to break up with him, and leave. This didn't set well with Jerry, but nothing could be done. He couldn't force her to stay. She went back to live with her father, who gladly accepted her to his home. He was now happily remarried again and had two children, a daughter and a son. Now, Delilah was doing alright in life. She worked at Macayo's and currently was dating a sweet guy named Rick. When she first broke up with Jerry, she started smoking, and ever since, it helped east some of the pain and sorrow in her life. It made her feel better, and more alive. She enjoyed her life, for the most part. If only there was something else. All she wanted now was to find peace in her life, and she longed for it.

Description

Friday, March 4th, 2011.

Dizzy. Light-headed. The feeling is so strange. I need to sit down. Now its time for me to audition. Wish i didn't feel so terrible. I am so excited for my up coming song. (10 minutes later)

"Number 46 please."

"Hi, my name is Heidi Trask, I am 16 and will be singing "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.

What a fun time I had singing. During the part of the song that goes, "Tell me Princess now when did you last let your heart decide?" I had the privilege of singing that to one of the directors. Miss Sara's face was SO sweet! I will NEVER forget it! It was like she was saying, "Aww! How sweet!" I love her face and her smiles. Mr. Jon also made my audition the best one yet. There silly comments and faces make me want to keep doing this on and on. I love the directors! Overall, my Friday was a great day! :)

Respons to a Bible verse

Today I was reading from my Bible, and came across this verse. This is my response to it.

"Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34

This verse tells us a lot. First, God wants us to seek Him and His righteouness above all things. No matter what is going on in your life, or what is happening, God wants us to seek him, and ask him what to do. The verse also tells us not to worry about tomorrow. Many a time I will find myself anxious, or worried about something coming up. When I worry about things, I tend to get stressed out, and overwhelmed with everything around me. God is telling us that there is no need to worry about tomorrow or what it will bring, because each day has its own troubles, and it doesn't do us any good to worry about what will happen in the future. Matthew 6:33-34 comforts my heart, because it helps me not to worry. When Find myself worrying about something, I am going to come back to this verse, for it tells me the exact answer I will need.
